This is a hands-on full-stack development role focused on maintaining and improving an existing application built on a Microsoft technology stack, including C#, SharePoint Server, and SQL Server, within a secure, on-premise environment.

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the enhancement and sustainment of a mission-critical, web-based application used by law enforcement and intelligence analysts. This is a hands-on full-stack development role focused on maintaining and improving an existing application built on a Microsoft technology stack, including C#, SharePoint Server, and SQL Server, within a secure, on-premise environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain features for a web-based application using C# and the .NET framework
- Enhance and support applications built on SharePoint Server and SQL Server platforms
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and database integrations
- Support frontend functionality to improve usability and performance for analyst-facing tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and system integration challenges
- Perform system testing, debugging, and validation of new and existing features
- Support ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M), including bug fixes and minor enhancements
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery
- Ensure compliance with secure development practices and government cybersecurity standards
- Strong experience in full-stack development using C#/.NET and Visual Studio
- Experience working with SharePoint Server (on-premise) and customizing SharePoint-based applications
- Proficiency in SQL Server, including database design, querying, and performance optimization
- Experience developing and maintaining web-based applications in a secure, enterprise environment
- Ability to troubleshoot complex application and integration issues
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development tools (e.g., Jira)
- Experience supporting both development and maintenance (O&M) activities
- Understanding of secure coding practices and working within regulated/government environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and up to eight (8) years of relevant experience.
