Job Description:
Background: The Pharmacy Support Contract Plus (POSC+) provides program management and administrative support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Pharmacy Operations Division (POD). The POD provides policy guidance and coordinates the Department of Defense (DoD) pharmacy policy with the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs and the individual uniform services through the Pharmacy Enterprise Support Activity. The POD is responsible for management of the TRICARE Pharmacy Benefits Program which offers pharmacy services to 9.6 million DoD eligible beneficiaries.
Position Summary: The contractor shall address inquiries received from Military Treatment Facility (MTF) pharmacy staff, TRICARE beneficiaries, TRICARE Pharmacy Benefit Manager, DHA Cost Account Division, and other Department of Defense entities.
Essential Job Functions:
- The contractor shall respond to email and telephone inquiries from MTF pharmacy personnel and TRICARE beneficiaries. Issues may be routed to appropriate parties, such as, pharmacy data report requests for resolution, troubleshooting pharmacy equipment, connectivity issues, and other MTF related tasks.
- The contractor shall manage MTF centralized programs and projects, such as, Enterprise System Management (ESM), National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), National Provider Identification (NPI), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), AND Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) registration programs, and the Enterprise license project for the U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) Compounding Compendium Online.
- The contractor shall provide Standard Operation Procedures for all MTF support projects and programs.
- The contractor shall establish and maintain an advanced level proficiency of understanding NCPDP standards and values listed in the NCPDP Standards Table Data.
- The contractor shall acquire NCPDP numbers on behalf of the government.
- The contractor shall establish and manage relationships with all stakeholders to include third parties/vendors.
- The contractor shall coordinate resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects.
- The contractor shall report and escalate any issues to ESM Project Manager or designee as needed.
- The contractor shall submit deliverables in a timely manner and ensure they adhere to quality standards.
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Knowledgeable of military and/or civilian pharmacy workflow
- Familiarity with federal contracting guidelines and procedures and Military Health System (MHS) civilian and military pharmacy practice
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and transition between projects
- Ability to work both independently and effectively in teams
- Remote work in a private and suitable location

- Standard Monday through Friday day schedule, but may travel and/or work weekends and extended hours if needed with approval of program manager and government leads
