Overview: We are currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support all payroll activities, bi-weekly payroll processing, collect and verify employee and timekeeping data, recording and maintaining employee records and payroll transactions, process timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with ADP to resolve tax related, payroll and withholding issues. quarterly reports, state jurisdiction setup and updates
· Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order.
· Assist payroll department to process payroll by gathering applicable information prior to each payroll
· Process manual checks
· Support the processing of financial compensations or deductions.
· Answer employee questions and resolve issues regarding payroll
· Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws
· Coordinating with HR about changes in payroll (new hires, terminations)
· Complete unemployment insurance claim forms, assist with health insurance related deductions, verifications and invoice payments
· Travel expense report and reimbursements processing
· Perform Deltek related tasks to include:
Ø Adding/modifying projects/tasks
Ø Adding new hires, modifying users and terminations in Deltek
Ø Process timesheets
Ø Weekly update of PTO balances in Deltek
Ø Process expenses
Ø Review hours/expenses and pull monthly reports
Ø Providing training to new users
Requirements:
· Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience using Deltek Costpoint and performing payroll functions
· Working knowledge of ADP Workforce now payroll system preferable
· Good working knowledge of accounting practices and tax laws
· Excellent attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Organizational and time management skills
